Hi! I’m Jenn. My desire is that you will be empowered and educated to have the labor and birth that you desire. Whether you have a home birth, a natural hospital birth, an epidural or a planned cesarean section, I am here to support you, without judgement, through your pregnancy and birth and through the postpartum period. I am trained through Birth Arts International as a postpartum and birth doula. I strive to empower, educate, and support my clients physically and emotionally in a way that is personal to them.

When I found out I was pregnant with my first baby, more than eleven years ago, I realized that I wanted something different than the hospital birth that you see in the movies (really my only experience with birth at that time). A random conversation with an acquaintance led me on a journey to learning how our bodies work and the many choices we have in birth. After having a doula present during my first labor and delivery, I knew I wanted to help other women have the birth that they desire. I became a doula to help empower and educate women to achieve just that, the birth they want.

You can read my blog post on why I became a doula here.

I am an Indiana native and have been back in the Marion area for almost 8 years. My husband, Alex, our four children, and I live in Marion with our Boxer, Laila. I enjoy yoga (which I don’t practice enough) and tromping through the woods with my family. In spite of eating way too many donuts, I do my best to eat nutritious foods, and I’m rather obsessed with large birds.
